In addition to chalkboard kitty (which is now cut out in wood- Just needs to be sanded and painted and assembled…….) we’re doing a new item- a bowling set! I am very excited for it.
We have big plans for these little ones… now if only we can make more time to finish them.
The front ‘pin’ is a test that Ben did. I was thinking we could offer them in natural wood finish and also in limited edition painted versions. It would be fun to continually think of new themes. Ben and I tossed around a few ideas… Alice in Wonderland, Star Trek, Harry Potter, bowling pins….
Submit an idea to us and maybe we’ll use it!
The background signage is what we will be using for our craft show. It’s chalkboard paint on one of Ben’s handmade and stretched canvases. The little front painted wood piece is for the price, which is yet to be determined.
Here’s another photo with our new signage + the Boo Boo Kitties.

To the father of our family,

Thought bubbles:
Lulu : “Om” I like to refer to Lulu as “on retirement.” She is 10 years old, Ben’s Beloved (he sings her more love songs than he does for me), hates cats; loves people, sunbathing, relaxing, sunbathing, and more relaxing
Blaquan : “?” Blaquan is our little “it” child. She was originally going to be put down because she was “unsociable” or something, but Ben saved her and 4 years later, she has surrendered herself to human companionship. She is still highly skittish though and always a little bit lost… meow? meow?
Me : “<3″ Always and forever
Mikah : ” ( . ) ( . ) ” Booby. Milk. Hungry all the time.
Vasia : ” *food* ” Oh Vasia, my crazy little fat cat. Vasia is like a dog- intelligent problem solver, a little manic, attention seeker (demander), and eats just about anything. She often does naughty things to get our attention so we can feed her. Spray bottles and sticky tape mean nothing to her.
And that is our little family.
Hope you are all having a beautiful Father’s Day!
Something is brewing in the house of Kitty Baby Love!
Ideally we will have these ready in time for a debut at the Renegade Craft Show, but with time, transportation, and financial limitations, Who knows what will happen…
So, after staring at a can of chalkboard paint I recently bought, Ben came to me with an idea….

After shooting back and forth ideas, we finally decided that it will look something like….

We’re very excited for it. Stick around for updates and progress reports
We also got our 6′ table yesterday and decided to set it up in the living room- so we can look at it and play with the display. We like the look, but still need to fill it with merchandise.. As you can see, we still have a lot more work to do.

Recovering from giving birth has been quite the journey! It feels like I haven’t been able to move around for a year, even though it feels like Mikah is still just a week old. It’s been 3.5 weeks already! How time flies…
Now that I do have more mobility, I’ve started preparing for a craft show Ben and I will be doing this July. We really planned to start preparing sooner, but you know… baby and all
We’ll be in the Renegade Craft Show when it comes to San Francisco. We’re really excited because of the scale of the event. A bit nervwracking as well since, at this point in time, we are as unprepared for this as you can get.

Ben and I have designated tomorrow, Monday, as our official *Let’s Get Busy and Start CRAFTING!* Day. We got a small headstart on it this weekend though…

Ben has a few woodblock prints he’s carved but has not printed (for whatever reason). This is one of them- Breastfeeding Kitty!
We’ll be making a few cards out of them and selling them at the craft show as well as in our shop soon. He did a blue and yellow colorway. We like the yellow best.

On May 18th at 2:56am,
after 9 hours of labor,
Mikah Sage C. gracefully sailed his way into this world via a gentle home water birth.
It was the most incredible experience I have ever had.
Ever since Mikah’s emergence, I feel as though I am walking through a dream. My days are a kaleidascope of tiny white pearls of breastmilk at the tip of nipples, seedy mustard yellow wet diapers, tiny pink lips in shapes of upsidedown U’s crying, and bright brown almond shaped eyes staring off into the unknown.
…I can’t believe he is finally here!
9 months of incubation and a week of counting past the due date, and now he is here. This amazing spirit finally decided that it was time and made it’s way into this world. Ah, and now I can say that I am the mother of Mikah! …Miraculous.
Today we celebrate his 3rd week of life.
[And for anyone in San Francisco interested in a home birth, I highly recommend Awakenings Birth Services. They provided us the means to having our desired home birth. Such a blessing.]
