Oh my goodness there are so many things to update on- I don’t know where to begin!

First our website is finally live! It still needs some tweaks and additions, but the shop and shopping cart is working. Features we love include:

A secure shopping cart experience
We now have an SSL certificate which ensures security when you enter your credit card information on our website. You can verify this by checking the weblink and seeing that instead of http:// it reads https://

User registration
You will be required to signup in order to make a purchase. When you do that you now have an account with us and can track your order history (including when and if your item has been shipped yet) straight from your account! You can also write reviews on items and save items in your shopping cart for a later purchase date.

Coupon codes!!!
Yes that’s right- we’re going to be handing out discounts left and right (ok, slight exaggeration..) now that we have a system set up to automatically do it (etsy currently does not support this feature). A Halloween coupon will be revealed soon… we encourage you to stay tuned so that you can test out this new feature ^_^

Family Picture

4 month anniversary
This is actually our 4 month anniversary picture. A bit late but better now than never! Mikah is just under 23lbs here! As you can see his entire self takes up nearly my entire torso already. I sometimes carry him in the MOBY wrap but really he prefers being on Ben as there is still room for him to nestle into his chest. It’s just uncomfortable when I wear him- our heads keep bumping into each other like a 2 headed beast of some sort. We sometimes put him in a stroller but really would like to carry him around more without killing our backs. I usually opt to carry him in my arms.

So far we’ve tried a *really* old fashioned sling (hand-me-down) that is just too bulky for Mikah, Baby Bjorn which worked when he was smaller but digs into our shoulders now that he’s heavier, and the Moby which works OK but is inconvenient as far as putting him in it and taking him out goes. A back carrier might do the trick…

If anyone has a suggestion on a really great baby carrier I’d love to hear it!

Also as a side note, Ben has entered “the grey one“, Lulu, into America’s Most Lovable Pets sponsored by Wheel of Fortune and PEOPLEPets.com .. Maybe she’ll win :}

Website Under Construction

The website is down for reconstruction. We’re aiming to have checkout be more inclusive of other payment options- we were only taking paypal before. Now we’ll be able to take credit cards as well as accept checks. The look will also be a little more professional…. We want to have it up by this weekend again but with a 4.5 month old teething baby- who knows what will or can happen!
