We found out at the very last possible minute that our rent would be increased by $140 – $240, depending if we wanted to sign another year lease or go month-to-month. We were really peeved about this- and fortunately for us, something serendipitous was in the air… the right timing and blend of people coming together in the past 2 weeks have led us to officially buying our first home!
I did not think would happen for at least another few years.. we are so grateful for this opportunity to grow our family’s situation.

We’re still in the early stages, but the seller did accept our offer. Now we need to get the house inspected, appraised, get the loan, etc… I had no idea how involved buying a home was!

I’ll keep this post short and finish with a video of Mikah. This was taken at one of the homes we were potentially looking at. We decided to pass it on, though Mikah had a nice time perusing the driveway.
