We are Sara and Ben, lovers of kitties, all things handmade, and proud parents of a little boy named Mikah. Together we create Kitty Egg-shaped creatures in our home in Portland, Oregon. We strive to create items that support creative growth, family bonds, local economy, and most of all, something that will bring a smile to your face. We started Kitty Baby Love while Sara was still pregnant in 2009. It was the beginning of the recession, we had recently graduated with BFA degrees, and neither of us could find work anywhere. We decided to start our own business and named it after our inspiration, our unborn son and 3 kitties. The Kitty Egg Crayon was created while we brainstormed what we could possibly create and sell. We love that they provide an ergonomically correct tool for toddler hands to explore creativity.. and not to mention are so so cute! It is just as important to us that they are items that can be cherished by adults. Kitty Baby Love gave us the opportunity for both parents to raise Mikah during his first year of life.
